So far, we found very little information about North Star. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>
We've added North Star to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have the exact location of North Star , we believe that it would have been located within present day Gunnison County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of North Star, you might consider that their post office opened in 1889.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for North Star was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>
From that list, the North Star post office opened in 1889.
We also found North Star in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
