At the time of the 2010 Census, Lyons had a population of 2,033 people. This makes Lyons the county's 6th most populous community.

The population of Lyons represents 0.04% of the population of Colorado (which has 5,029,196 people), making it the state's 112nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 2,033 people, the population of Lyons increased 28.26% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 1,585 people).
