Leslie would have been located within present day Washington County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Leslie, you might consider that their post office opened in 1888.

Adding Leslie to Our Gazetteer ...

The earliest source (so far) we've referenced which mentioned Leslie was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Leslie post office opened in 1888. The Leslie post office closed in 1896.
