Welcome to Chihuahua ...

So far, we found very little information about Chihuahua. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Chihuahua would have been located within present day Summit County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Chihuahua, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1880.

Adding Chihuahua to Our Gazetteer ...

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Chihuahua was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Chihuahua post office opened in 1880.

We also found Chihuahua in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
