So far, we found very little information about Adrian. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>
We've added Adrian to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Adrian - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Adrian, please Contact Us.
While we don't have the exact location of Adrian , we believe that it would have been located within present day Summit County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Adrian, you might consider that their post office opened in 1882.
When the people of Adrian referred to themselves (known as a demonym), they are believed to have used Adrianite<3>
Time Zone: The area where Adrian was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time
The location where Adrian once stood is in the (970) area code.

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 18 communities that are also named Adrian - they are located in Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, North Dakota, Ohio (2), Ontario, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Washington and West Virginia.

Adding Adrian to Our Gazetteer ...
The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Adrian was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>
From that list, the Adrian post office opened in 1882.
We also found Adrian mentioned on a train schedule titled Union Pacific Railroad Time Tables (September 1924).
