Welcome to Trutch ...So far, we found very little information about Trutch. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Trutch to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. If you can help us with Trutch, please Contact Us. The origin (or the toponymy) of Trutch: Named after Joseph W. Trutch (1826-1904). He was an engineer, a surveyor and the first Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia serving from 1871 to 1876. Trutch was a blatant racist and there are those who would like to see his name expunged from geographic features. Time Zone: The area where Trutch was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time. The time zone in French: MST- Heure Normale des Rocheuses (HNR). The Area Codes where Trutch was located: 250, 236, 672 & 778<2> Communities near Trutch ...We have created a list of 3 communities that are near Trutch.
