The origin (or the toponymy) of Blake: A railroad siding named for W.G. Blake, an Anglican missionary.
Time Zone: The area where Blake was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time. The time zone in French: PST- Heure Normale du Pacifique (HNP).
Note: If you travel east from Blake (for example, toward Kimberley), you will leave Pacific Time and cross into the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT).
