The community of Prescott is the Seat for Yavapai County. Yavapai County is one of the original counties of Arizona and was founded in 1864. From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Yavapai had a population of 236,062 people. This is an increase of 11.86% since the last Census (which gave a population of 211,033 people in 2010).
