Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Waldo had an population of 1,268 people. This is a decrease of 7.58% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 20.45% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Waldo had a population of 1,372 people (or 5.59% of the total population of Columbia County). This makes Waldo the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Waldo represents 0.05% of the total population of Arkansas (which has 2,915,918 people), making it the state's 163rd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 1,372 people, the population of Waldo decreased 13.93% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 1,594 people).

We originally found mention of Waldo in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Waldo was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Waldo post office opened in 1884.

We also found Waldo in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
