Welcome to Shaver ...So far, we found very little information about Shaver. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Shaver to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. If you can help us with Shaver, please Contact Us. Shaver was located in the Arkansas Ozarks. Shaver would have been located within present day Boone County<2>. The location of Shaver has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Shaver, you might consider that their post office opened in 1888. While the community is gone, the present day location for Shaver is 1,060 feet [323 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Shaver was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time If Shaver still existed, it would have been in the (870) area code.
