Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Russellville had an population of 29,175 people. This is an increase of 4.49% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 23.19% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Russellville had a population of 27,920 people (or 45.21% of the total population of Pope County). This makes Russellville the county's most populous community.

The population of Russellville represents 0.96% of the total population of Arkansas (which has 2,915,918 people), making it the state's 16th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 27,920 people, the population of Russellville increased 17.9% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 23,682 people).
