While our initial data about Many Islands came from various goverment sources (GNIS, FIPS), we also found mention of Many Islands in various books, maps and other sources. When we find a mention, a fact or snippet, we add that information to our Gazetter.

The Many Islands post office opened in 1912 and had closed by 1942.
