Huron would have been located within present day Izard County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Huron, you might consider that their post office opened in 1895.
When the people of Huron referred to themselves (known as a demonym), they are believed to have used Huronite<3>
While the community is gone, the present day location for Huron is 660 feet [201 m] above sea level.<4>.
