Miscellaneous References and Mentions
While our initial data about Hicks came from various goverment sources (GNIS, FIPS), we also found mention of Hicks in various books, maps and other sources. When we find a mention, a fact or snippet, we add that information to our Gazetter.

Hicks is contained in a comprehensive list of Post Offices that was created by Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<1>

The Hicks post office opened in 1930 and had closed by 1953.
