White County was founded in 1835. White was created by taking area from Independence, Jackson and Pulaski Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> White had a population of 78,753 people. This is an increase of 1.81% since the last Census (which gave a population of 77,356 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, White represented 2.65% of the total population of Arkansas.
