The community of Van Buren is the Seat for Crawford County.

Crawford County was founded in 1820 and was created by taking area from Pulaski County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Crawford had a population of 63,406 people. This is an increase of 2.35% since the last Census (which gave a population of 61,948 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Crawford represented 2.12% of the total population of Arkansas.

    • The GenDisasters website specializes in newspaper articles about tragedies and disasters. While it makes interesting reading all by itself, it should be of special interest to genealogists and family historians looking for people who were either affected by or directly involved in such tragedies.
