Carroll County was founded in 1833.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Carroll had a population of 28,352 people. This is an increase of 3.3% since the last Census (which gave a population of 27,446 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Carroll represented 0.94% of the total population of Arkansas.
