Welcome to Bartholomew ...

So far, we found very little information about Bartholomew. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Bartholomew to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Bartholomew - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Bartholomew, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Bartholomew , we believe that it would have been located within present day Drew County<2>.

Bartholomew was established in 1800.

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Arkansas communities named Bartholomew: This one is located in Drew County and the other is located in Ashley County.

Beyond Arkansas, there are 3 communities that are also named Bartholomew - they are located in New Brunswick and Texas.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Bartholomew was in the book titled Table of U.S. Post Offices in the United States (Jan. 1851).

We also found Bartholomew in the book titled List of Post Offices in the United States (1870).
