When autos were new then the ford was'nt do
And Maud was the whole village star
At a clip of eight miles she mottered in style,
As she rode in her old time car

When she mottered around, she wrecked half the town,
Every day she gave something a jar,
She bunted the curb and she bunted the posts,
And she bunted the old horse car

Her equipage grew old
Still Maud she was bold
And her beauty was spreading afar,
But the Judge bought a Ford

And he took Maud aboard,
And that ended the old time car
Now away, back in the shade,
That old car is laid,

And on every side, there's a sear, -(scar)-
For it's battered and bent,
And it's best days are spent,
And it looks as it went through the war

Still Maud she looks fine,
And her Ford right in line,
And she thinks of the days in the sun's golden rays,
When her beauty and youth was in prime.
