Welcome to Shyan ...
So far, we found very little information about Shyan. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>
We've added Shyan to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Shyan - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Shyan, please Contact Us.
While we don't have the exact location of Shyan , we believe that it would have been located within present day Washington County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Shyan, you might get a feel for it by knowing that the earliest mention that we've found (so far) was on a map dated 1911.

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.
