From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Roeton was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Roeton post office opened in 1901.

We also found Roeton on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Alabama (1911).
