From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Mineola was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Mineola post office opened in 1898.

We also found Mineola on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Alabama (1911).
