Marshall County was founded in 1836.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Marshall had a population of 96,751 people. This is an increase of 4.01% since the last Census (which gave a population of 93,019 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Marshall represented 1.95% of the total population of Alabama.
