Welcome to Coplin ...

So far, we found very little information about Coplin. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Coplin to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Coplin - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Coplin, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Coplin , we believe that it would have been located within present day Morgan County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Coplin, you might consider that their post office opened in 1900.

Time Zone: The area where Coplin was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Coplin was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Coplin post office opened in 1900.

We also found Coplin on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Alabama (1911).
