The Commemorative Quarter for Alabama

Do you know of Activity ???

When we encounter a name that is new to us, we add it to our Gazetteer - that's the case with Activity.

This entry has been created as a placeholder - we hope to develop more information in the future.

This entry could be in error. It might be that our source had a mis-print, was simply wrong or we made a transcription error while referencing it. We hope to learn more about Activity in the future.

We found mention of Activity as a post office, but can't determine its location - other than being located somewhere in Monroe County, Alabama.

It's common that the post office is named the same as the community in which it's located (although that's not always case). In this case, we can't match this post office to any of the existing communities in our gazetteer.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Activity, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1836.

Adding Activity to Our Gazetteer ...

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Activity was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<1>

From that list, the Activity post office opened in 1836.

We also found Activity in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).

Miscellaneous References and Mentions for Activity ...

We've created the following list to keep track of the sources that proved useful in adding to our knowledge about Activity:

Found in a comprehensive list of Post Offices that was created by Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.

From that list:
