While we don't have a date for the founding of Wardlow, you might get a feel for it by knowing that the earliest mention that we've found (so far) was on a map dated 1951.
Wardlow is 2,180 feet [664 m] above sea level.<1> In other words, the altitude of Wardlow is about ½ mile above sea level.

The earliest source (so far) we've referenced which mentioned Wardlow was on a map titled Road Map for Montana & Southern Alberta (from Shell Oil, 1951).
