Welcome to Tuff ...So far, we found very little information about Tuff. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Tuff to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. The location of Tuff has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Tuff, you might consider that their post office opened in 1901. While the community is gone, the present day location for Tuff is 1,750 feet [533 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Tuff was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time The location where Tuff once stood is in the (830) area code.
