The origin (or the toponymy) of ' . Trickham . ':

Trickham was originally named Muckwater. This was later changed to Trick'Em. The story goes that the local store would cheat cowboys riding on the Chisolm Trail by tricking them out of their money when drunk.

When trying to open a post office, the postal service rejected the name Trick'Em and proposed Trickham instead. The citizens of Trick'Em accepted the suggestion, hence Trickham.
