Owenville was located in Big Bend Country (West Texas).

While we don't have the exact location of Owenville , we believe that it would have been located within present day Sutton County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Owenville, you might consider that their post office opened in 1899.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Owenville was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Owenville post office opened in 1899.
