We originally found mention of Nogalus in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Nogalus was on a map titled Map of Texas (from Rand McNally, 1911).

We also found Nogalus in the book titled .<5> From that list, the Nogalus post office opened in 1894.
