Newman was located in the Texas Panhandle. While we don't have the exact location of Newman , we believe that it would have been located within present day Fisher County<2>. While we don't have a date for the founding of Newman, you might consider that their post office opened in 1881. Time Zone: The area where Newman was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time If Newman still existed, it would have been in the (325) area code. Communities Also Named Newman ...Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Texas communities named Newman: This one is located in Fisher County and the other is located in El Paso County.
