At the time of the 2010 Census, Mildred had a population of 368 people. This makes Mildred the county's 10th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 368 people, the population of Mildred decreased 9.14% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 405 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Mildred was on a map titled Map of Texas (from Rand McNally, 1911).

We also found Mildred in the book titled .<6> From that list, the Mildred post office opened in 1897.
