So far, we found very little information about Laurelia. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Laurelia to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. Laurelia was located in the Piney Woods (East Texas).

While we don't have the exact location of Laurelia , we believe that it would have been located within present day Polk County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Laurelia, you might consider that their post office opened in 1903.

Time Zone: The area where Laurelia was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

Laurelia would have been located in the (936) area code.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Laurelia was on a map titled Map of Texas (from Rand McNally, 1911).

We also found Laurelia in the book titled .<3> From that list, the Laurelia post office opened in 1903.
