The location of Larissa has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Larissa, you might consider that their post office opened in 1847. While the community is gone, the present day location for Larissa is 520 feet [158 m] above sea level.<4>.
