From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for White Pine was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the White Pine post office opened in 1872.

We also found White Pine on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Tennessee (1888).
