Welcome to Tyger ...So far, we found very little information about Tyger. The location of Tyger has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Tyger, you might consider that their post office opened in 1888. While the community is gone, the present day location for Tyger is 1,010 feet [308 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Tyger was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time Tyger would have been located in the (864) area code.
