Welcome to Tinker Run ...

So far, we found very little information about Tinker Run. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Tinker Run to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Tinker Run - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Tinker Run, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Tinker Run , we believe that it would have been located within present day Westmoreland County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Tinker Run, you might consider that their post office opened in 1839.

Time Zone: The area where Tinker Run was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Tinker Run was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Tinker Run post office opened in 1839.

We also found Tinker Run in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
