The community of Klamath Falls is the Seat for Klamath County.

Klamath County was founded in 1882 and was created by taking area from Lake County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Klamath had a population of 68,343 people. This is an increase of 2.96% since the last Census (which gave a population of 66,380 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Klamath represented 1.73% of the total population of Oregon.
