Welcome to Blalock ...

So far, we found very little information about Blalock. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Blalock to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Blalock - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Blalock, please Contact Us.


While we don't have the exact location of Blalock , we believe that it would have been located within present day Gilliam County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Blalock, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

Time Zone: The area where Blalock was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time

If Blalock still existed, it would have been in the (541) & (458)<3> area codes.

Communities Also Named Blalock ...

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 4 communities that are also named Blalock - they are located in Alabama, Georgia (2) and Ontario.

We originally found mention of Blalock in the FIPS-55 file. For more information, see the Referenced FIPS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Blalock was in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).

We also found Blalock mentioned on a train schedule titled Union Pacific Railroad Time Tables (June 1939).
