Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Zoar had an population of 175 people. This is an increase of 3.55% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 9.33% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Zoar had a population of 169 people. This makes Zoar the county's 18th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 169 people, the population of Zoar decreased 12.44% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 193 people).

We originally found mention of Zoar in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Zoar was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Zoar post office opened in 1826.

We also found Zoar in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
