At the time of the 2010 Census, Russia had a population of 640 people. This makes Russia the county's 6th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 640 people, the population of Russia increased 16.15% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 551 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Russia was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Russia post office opened in 1860.

We also found Russia in the book titled List of Post Offices in the United States (1870).
