So far, we found very little information about Halltown. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

While we don't have the exact location of Halltown , we believe that it would have been located within present day Ross County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Halltown, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1889.

Time Zone: The area where Halltown was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

We originally found mention of Halltown in the GNIS. For more information, see the Referenced GNIS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Halltown was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Halltown post office opened in 1889.

We also found Halltown in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
