Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Long Beach had an population of 33,486 people. This is an increase of 0.63% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 5.57% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Long Beach had a population of 33,275 people. This makes Long Beach the county's 7th most populous community.

The population of Long Beach represents 0.17% of the total population of New York (which has 19,378,102 people), making it the state's 63rd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 33,275 people, the population of Long Beach decreased 6.17% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 35,462 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Long Beach was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Long Beach post office opened in 1881.

We also found Long Beach on a map titled Rand McNally Map of New York (1908).
