Welcome to Kensico ...

Kensico is located in Westchester County<1>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Kensico, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1849. The community was inundated by the Kensico Reservoir.

Time Zone: Kensico lies in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Kensico was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<2>

From that list, the Kensico post office opened in 1849.

We also found Kensico in the book titled Table of U.S. Post Offices in the United States (Jan. 1851).
