So far, we found very little information about Poeville. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

While we don't have the exact location of Poeville , we believe that it would have been located within present day Washoe County<2>.
Poeville was founded in 1874.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Poeville was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>
From that list, the Poeville post office opened in 1874.
