Welcome to Palisade ...

So far, we found very little information about Palisade. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Palisade would have been located within present day Eureka County<2>.



While we don't have a date for the founding of Palisade, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1870.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Palisade is 4,850 feet [1,478 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the altitude of Palisade is about 1 mile [or ~1½ km] above sea level.

Time Zone: The area where Palisade was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time

Palisade would have been located in the (775) area code.

We originally found mention of Palisade in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Palisade was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Palisade post office opened in 1870.

We also found Palisade on a map titled George#&160;F. Cram Map of Nevada (1883).
