While we don't have a date for the founding of Paraje, you might consider that their post office opened in 1867.
While the community is gone, the present day location for Paraje is 4,460 feet [1,359 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Paraje is about ¾ mile [or ~1¼ km] above sea level.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Paraje was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>
From that list, the Paraje post office opened in 1867.
We also found Paraje in the book titled List of Post Offices in the United States (1870).
