So far, we found very little information about Pajarito. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Pajarito would have been located within present day Bernalillo County<2>.


The location of Pajarito has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3>


While we don't have a date for the founding of Pajarito, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1868.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Pajarito is 4,910 feet [1,497 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Pajarito is about 1 mile [or 1½ km] above sea level.

Time Zone: The area where Pajarito was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time

We originally found mention of Pajarito in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Pajarito was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Pajarito post office opened in 1868.

We also found Pajarito in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
