The location of Montezuma has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While the community is gone, the present day location for Montezuma is 6,150 feet [1,875 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Montezuma is about 1¼ mile [or ~1¾ km] above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Montezuma was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time Communities Also Named Montezuma ...While we believe that this Montezuma is located in Sandoval County, we know of another 2 New Mexico communities named Montezuma. Those communities are located in the following counties: San Miguel and Socorro County.
