Welcome to Kemp ...So far, we found very little information about Kemp. The location of Kemp has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Kemp, you might consider that their post office opened in 1907. While the community is gone, the present day location for Kemp is 6,640 feet [2,024 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Kemp is 1¼ mile [or ~2 km] above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Kemp was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time The location where Kemp once stood is in the (505) area code.
